Hello, folks. My name is Ellwood. I came from somewhere, I can't remember where. I was on the streets and got picked up by a white truck. I went to a place that was really loud and not much fun. I wasn't there for very long and then a really, really nice man who was very tall (I had to look waaaay up) came and picked me up. I really liked him! He was kind and gentle, so I was happy to go with him and his wife.
A few days alter I woke up and didn't feel so good. I couldn't eat and I had to go outside real quick! The doc's say I have a mild case of Parvo, and that means I will have to be in the doggie hospital for a while.
It will be expensive and my foster parents are hoping you can help me out.
I sure would appreciate it!
Ellwood, who's namesake is a rock star, is a three month old JRT pup from somewhere in Houston. He and his brother, Jake, were picked up stray and sent to BARC (Bureau of Animal Regulation and Control.) BARC released both of them to RRI after two days, in hopes that neither pup would pick up any of the diseases always floating around big city kennels. Alas, it was not to be.
The foster parents caught the symptoms very early and within two hours, Ellwood was at a vet. He was started on IVs and antibiotics that afternoon. All our prayers seem to be answered.
